What the Sea Offers 2023
After pain comes silence—
and sometimes, that silence arrives in waves.
This work follows Crimson Sea,
but shifts its gaze.
Where the previous series confronted the wound,
this one asks:
What if the sea could hold it instead?
I let the sea speak.
Its calmness from afar, its depth up close,
and its quiet pull beneath the surface—
each became a form of consolation.
Through color and movement,
I tried to visualize what comfort might feel like:
not loud, not fixed—
but soft, slow, and infinite.
This is not forgetting pain,
but letting it float.
Letting the ocean cradle what we cannot carry alone.
